Your Open Water Course will be made up of five parts: -

  • Knowledge Development using PADI eLearning which is done at home at your own pace.
  • One classroom session for a review of the knowledge development.
  • Five confined water modules covering your basic skills and done in our local pool facilities over four sessions.Water Skills Assessment during which you will swim freestyle non-stop for 200m (or with mask, fins and snorkel for 300m) and float in water too deep to stand for 10 minutes.
  • Four open waters dives over 2 days, during which you’ll be able to master your new skills and have fun while exploring the underwater world. We use a wide range of dive sites including shore diving at Browns Bay and Beadnell, Ellerton Lake and Capernwray Diving Centre.
