If you've always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater and discover the wonderous world beneath the waves, this is where it starts. The PADI Open Water Diver course is designed to give comprehensive training in scuba diving, equipping you with the knowledge and skills necessary to dive up to a maximum depth of 18 metres. This course offers a detailed introduction to scuba diving principles, techniques and safety practices required  to explore and see amazing underwater envionments and life.

Course Structure

The course structure is divided into three main components: eLearning, confined water dives and open water dives. Each part is designed to build upon the previous stage to ensure a solid foundation in scuba diving.

This covers the fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive theory, safety procedures and equipment management. This part of the course aims to establish a thorough understanding of the essential concepts and practices in scuba diving.

Confined Water Dives

This section of the course takes place in one of our local swimming pools. Here, under the supervision of a PADI instructor,  you will practice and refine your scuba skills. This phase focuses on developing confidence and proficiency in basic diving techniques.

Open Water Dives

The final component involves open water dives. Here you will apply your skills at one of our local dive sites. Supervised by a PADI Professional, these dives allow you to experience real diving conditions, further solidifying your skills and confidence in underwater exploration.

Upon successful completion of the course, students are awarded the PADI Open Water Diver certification. This globally recognised certification affirms your ability to plan and execute dives serving as a gateway to more advanced diving courses and experiences.
